21 March 2008 LARC Sailors Take Note: In the past, the LARC Awards presentation has coordinated with the AISC Wednesday Nite Sign-Up party. This year will be a little different. LARC will again team up with the AISC group, but this year's presentations will be made prior to the West Marine Dogwood Regatta Awards Ceremony. So, if you feel you did well enough to bring home some LARC bacon, plan on attending the Dogwood ceremony on Sunday March 30th at Tannery Row, Buford, GA.
03 March 2008 The 2007-2008 season of LARC racing came to an end this past Saturday. Fifteen total boats came out for a great day of very busy sailing. The Barefoot Sailing Club (BFSC) hosted the last event and was provided with ample wind for the day. The short "D" to "X" mark legs made up a 6.29 course and kept everyone on their toes, as the 10-18 knot breeze made for some tiresome, but exciting racing. Congratulations to the Southern Sailing Club (SSC) for taking top honors in the Club on Club competition, and hats of to all the individual winners. Thanks for participating!
20 February 2008 The 4th race of the Winter LARC series is complete. Results are posted. One race to go in this series. Lets have a record turn out.
28 January 2008 The 3nd race of the Winter LARC series is complete. SSC has extended their lead over the other clubs but welcomes a surging challenge from the other clubs. Get your boats out and let's finish these last two races on a high note.
22 January 2008 The 2nd race of the Winter LARC series is complete. SSC Maintains a slim lead over LLSC in the Club on Club portion. Results posted.
08 January 2008 The 2008 LARC #1 is in the books and the reults are posted. LLSC had the helm for this one and it turned out to be a great day. BUT, it could have been better. It's all about participation. The Southern Sailing Club remains out front in the club to club competition, but only by a small margin. I call on club officers and leaders to get your fleets out for these LARC events. Yes, I know some of you have pulled your boats due to the low water, but there are plenty of boats available in each club to make these LARC events exceptional. The clubs have paid to allow their sailors to race, now lets get some boats out.
17 December 2007 The first half of the 2007/2008 LARC season is in the books. Congrats are in order for SSC as they remain at the top of the leader board in the club side of the competition. As if the lake levels were not enough, poor weather conditions prevented the completion of two of the five scheduled races. Going into 2008, let's get on the phone and get the racers out. The LARC Series is a great event where the clubs pay the fees for the sailors. Honor and support your club with your participation.

10 December 2007 Another drifter led the LARC fleet to another standstill in race #4. Ultra light conditions couldn't even get the lightest of go fast boats to the finish line before the motor-up time- That Just Sucks! We have one more race to close out the 1st half of LARC racing. So come on out on 15 December and make a bow wave.

LARC #3 is in the books and the results have been posted. AISC hosted this event with Sean O'Conner, Mike McCloud, and company taking care of Race Committee duties. Thanks Guys for a great day of racing. Fourteen boats came out for the slug out and were welcomed by conditions which would turn any of those northern Yankee sailing clubs green with envy. Temps in the low 60s and a tad bit more wind than forecasted made for a perfect day. While serving his duties on RC, Sean O'Conner took some time to pull out his camera and take some happy snaps. He was kind enough to quickly post them for sharing. He took a bunch of pictures, so I suggest getting a cup of coffee or a pint of beer to enjoy while you browse the pics. THANKS SEAN! LARC #4 is scheduled for Saturday Dec 8st 2007. Come on out and support your club. Just complete the online registration below plan to play. You must register to race and remember there is no fee to race. Your club's participation in the series qualifies you as a racer. But you must still complete the online registration to play, so do it now!
